The dove is a symbol used by artists and writers for thousands of years to represent the Spirit of God.

And, when this Spirit rests in the human heart, the heart is raised up, becomes exalted.

This sculpture also represents that spirit in each of us which exalts in the pure joy of living.

The wings are lifted up and thrown back in celebration,

and yet are still grounded in the connection with the base.

This is contemporary spiritual and religious sculpture.
